The Fathers of Mercy Offers An Incredible Pilgrimage Opportunity Year Round
If you are a long-time reader of Catholic Travel USA, you know that our weekly spotlights typically pertain to an upcoming Feast Day. Today, however, we are doing something different - We are highlighting a spot that you can visit any time of year.
That place is the Fathers of Mercy:
Located in Auburn, Kentucky, the Fathers of Mercy were founded in 1808 and house a "Congregation of Priests whose primary Apostolate is preaching parish missions and retreats, with an emphasis on the Sacraments of the Holy Eucharist and Confession."
"Seeking to bring the Mercy of God to the prodigal children of our times," the Fathers travel the country with their many missions and special events, as well as welcome pilgrims to their beautiful Chapel.
Built in 2008, the Chapel of Divine Mercy is a stunning work of art featuring intricate murals, stained glass masterpieces, numerous statues, and flawless marble altars.
Mass at the Chapel of Divine Mercy is celebrated Monday to Saturday at 7:30 a.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m.
In addition to mass, pilgrims are invited to daily adoration from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., and daily confession from 6 to 7 p.m.
