The St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta Parish May Be One of the Most Unique in America

To know St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta is to love her, which is why we cannot let her Feast Day on September 5th pass without making a pilgrimage in her honor:

St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta was born in 1910 in Skopje, in what is now the Republic of North Macedonia. At 18, she joined the Sisters of Loreto and moved to India, where she began teaching at a girls’ school in Calcutta. In 1946, she felt a strong call from God to serve “the poorest of the poor,” leading her to found the Missionaries of Charity in 1950.

For decades, Mother Teresa and her sisters have cared for the sick, the dying, the orphaned, and the marginalized, offering not just material assistance but also dignity and compassion. She received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for her humanitarian work. Mother Teresa died in 1997, was canonized in 2016, and remains a global symbol of selfless service.

Are you ready to go? Follow us to her namesake parish:
